Week 04- 5G Hands On

The following are the topics covered in this course:

  • Basic Call Flow - UE Power on to RRC Connection Establishment-> Dedicated bearer.
  • Using Publicly Available Libraries for Setup and Procedures
  • 5G Core & SBI Interfaces, Installation
  • GNB Setup, NR UE Setup
  • Understanding the Complete Call Flow using the Wireshark Trace

5GC and UERANSIM Hands-on

Learners are required to setup an architecture using Open5GS and UERANSIM library. They will then have to submit a report presenting the complete network architecture mentioning the interface with the correct SBI IP addresses, the PLMN for the core network, gNB, and UE.
