Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge

Task:

Objective:

1) To Download following P Clamp & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.

2) To Download following Back shell cad data & define it as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.

3) To Create Following Corrugated tubes & Add them in Catalogue under “Slit COT” family.

1) To Download following P Clamp & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties:

Steps to Construct P Clamp:

  1. The given clip was downloaded and opened as a part file.
  2. Then define two points that will be used as entry and exit points.
  3. Then a plane has to be defined at the points.
  4. A base plane has to be defined at a distance of 2 mm from the clip.
  5. Again we define the exit point at the first definition as the entry point.
  6. Hence I have two entry and two exit points.

Model:

2) To Download following Back shell cad data & define it as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties:

Steps to Construct Backshell:

  1. The backshell data was downloaded from the website.
  2. Then define the points in the part workbench.
  3. An Axis system with the correct axis orientation is placed at the backshell connection point.
  4. The points have to be defined as the backshell connection and bundle connection points.

Model:

3) To Create Following Corrugated tubes & Add them in Catalogue under “Slit COT” family:

Steps to Create Catalog and Add Parts:

  1. We define the cot tubes in the electrical part workbench.
  2. The inner dia & thickness are given as the inputs.
  3. A catalog was created for the Slit Cot.
  4. All the cot tubes were saved in the catalog.

Model:

All Parts are Added Into Slit COT Family:

Conclusion:

Thus, All the Above Tasks are Completed.
