BACKSHELL :- A Backshell is the rear portion of a connector, which is normally a separate section from the connector head, used to secure the cable via a clamp to the end of the connector.

We changed the electrical part for mechanical work in the motor vehicles. In catia , we join the the connector with the backshell by floowing steps . First we go to to part design window thenwe define the points connector as well as the backshell. Then we define the axis system on both After that we go to harness part design where we set the x,y, z direction. The set the y axis towards the mating side for both the components. x in the side where is locking system ( orientation). After that we go to harness assembly to assemble the both parts by using the connect command. First , we select the backshell then the connector to fiz it.
