Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge

Aim

Route the following harness layout in Electrical workbench. Make assumption for harness bundle diameters. Use Following connectors as shown in layout diagram.

Add protective covering on all branches connected to DT06-2S & DT06-4S connectors. Keep end extremity at 30mm (from connectors end)

First step is to Convecting the Mechanical part into the Electrical part by following the flow chart

1. Defining Deutsch DT06 – 2S:

In Part Design Work Bench:

• The Connector Connection Point and the Bundle Entry Point are defined on their respective mating faces
• The required axis system is defined for the connector connection point
• Then the Work Bench is changed to 'Electrical Part Design'

In Electrical Part Design Work Bench:

• Defined Part as a connector
• Connector connection point is defined
• Then the Bundle Entry Point is defined
