Week 9 - Project - Master Section Development

AIM:To get the closed surface model using master section and to develop attachment feature for fixation of parts at given design standards and procedure.

PROCEDURE:(i)Firstly surface point is created called the reference point to where we created the tooling axis on classA surface generally Tooling axis represents the direction of classC sweep or surface going to takes place and for the draft analysis.

(ii)Now we have got to create a ClassB surface of offset of 2mm and it will lead to some degeneracy in the surfaces such as conic or styling fillets.After getting proper classB we have got to move towards the classC surface.

(iii)ClassC surface can be created by the boundary of ClassA surface towards ClassB and the sweep is having a 3deg along tooling axis then we have got to join all three surfaces together.The images of classA and B shown below:

(iv)Now we have to introduce the attachment feature in it such as dog house,Ribs,4Way locator.

4way locator is being situated above the dog house and the walls are being drafted to 0.5deg along the main tooling axis and we have to provide the ribs 60mm from locator and 30mm apart from each other .

After creating of 4 way loactor and the dog House and ribs we have to add them together and make complete body shown in the image below:
