CREATION OF LOCATORS:

Locator works on the 3-2-1 principle which is basically to fix a component to be machined or to be placed in an ideal position. There are a total of 12 degrees of freedom \6 rational and 6 translational.

In this, I need to fix any 11 degrees of freedom permanently and anyone to be clamped or fixed temporarily. In this scenario, locators come into the picture. there are 4-way locators, 2-way locators.

CREATION OF HEAT STAKES:

This is also a fixing method of aplastic component to another dissimilar or similar surface or metal part. but in this process, both of them are joined together by thermal welding and can not be removed after that. Aboss or stud is made on the plastic part, which is then protruded onto the opposite part and reformed after the locators fix the part temporarily and then thermal welded on the boss.

DRAFT ANALYSIS:

Draft analysis is done after determining the tooling axis

Draft analysis is used to check if the minimum 3-degree draft is maintained, if a minimum 3 degrees draft is provided the whole part is converted into green colour.

The part created had to be changed to the material mode in the display frame. then by enabling the compass definition the axis system in the pan along the direction of the part aligned in line with the tooling direction.

Lock direction is applied that fixes the compass and then the mode dialogue box is formed by snapping at any point on the part. The colour codes are classified and draft angles are applied.

Then the running point is used to hover around the part to analyze the permissible draft angle the analysis is saved.
