Week 9 - Project 1 - Door Applique Design with Engineering Features

REPORT----

Tooling Axis Creation-

1. Using the Door attachment Class-A surface, a point is created at the center of the surface.

2. Using the point as reference, a line is created along the Y- direction and naming it as Tooling Axis.

Draft Analysis of Applique thickened Body-

1. There seems to error in draft at the corners which needs to be corrected at both ends. As it thicked with the reference from the Class -A surface, we have get the permission to modify the Class -A accordingly.

Draft Analysis of 4- way Locator-

1. As shown below the 4 way locator clears the main tooling –

Draft Analysis of Heat stakes -

1. As shown below the heat stakes need to clears the main tooling with a minimum draft on side face of 0.5 deg –
