Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1
DOOR HANDLE :
TITLE : Create the rib for the Drill Handle the design.
Tooling Axis creation:
It is defined as the direction in which the mould/core and cavity open. Selection of the direction of the tooling axis depends on the ease at which components can be easily ejected.
SURFACE ( Construction. ) :
Class A surface is given in part file, from class A surface create B & C surface . Than joint all the surface ( given class A surface , surface B & surface C ).
CLASS A SURFACE :
Which is give surfsce .
B Surface >
C Surface >
COMBINE ALL SURFACE ( A , B & C ) :
Create RIB on DOOR HANDLE
Ribs do exactly that because its presence in your injection mold design increases the bending stiffness of your plastic product.
Create SCREW
RIB & SCREW IN DOOR HANDLE IN SOLIDE FORM .
Draft Analysis .
The Draft Analysis allows the user to easily analyze a part for proper draft angle. A Draft Angle describes the amount of taper for molded or cast parts perpendicular to the parting line.
CONCLUSION:
- The Tooling axis and the SolidCAT part with B Side Features is created from the given Class A Surface and Draft Analysis is Performed.
