Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
CLASS A SURFACE is given at 1st and usual checking is done if its completely closed or not by using boundary command

TOOLING AXIS CREATION:-

While viewing from diffent axis Y-axis is chosen and a surface is extracted for tooling axis creation.
the tooling axis is created and now draft analysis of class A surface is done.
DRAFT ANALYSIS:-

The required draft angle is obtained and we can proceed further. for creating b surface
B SURFACE CREATION:-
The class A surface is offseted by 2.5mm downward direction some patches if seen usually they are filled using multiple extract, multi-section surface, blend, etc commands

this gap is completed by using the above commands and made sure no gap is occured once its done.

the B surface is obtained and now the C surface is created along A surface by using sweep command

the c surface is created using sweep command along the A surface

both the A & C surface are joined together to form a semi closed surface

A+C surface are joined together using join command.

later this surface is trimmed with class B surface so that a close body is obtained.

now all the 3 surface is obtained and is closed using close surface command from part workbench.

the closed surface is obtained sucessfully. now a draft analysis is done on this closed surface.

draft analysis is done with a 3degree of draft.
DOG HOUSE CREATION:-
the surface is extracted on where the dog house creation is needed. A point is made on the extracted surface, A plane is created on refernece to ZX plane. once the plane is created we chose Positioned sketch to create a sketch for the dog house.

the sketch is made as shown in the above snap. the surface is extacted and drafted. or else to avoid drafting we can use sweep command with draft direction giving an angle of 1.5degree. and upto a length of 20mm.

by doing this we can avois using draft command. after finishing it having a closed body we give a 1mm fillet to it.

once this is done insert a body and by using thick surface we can obatin a thick surface as shown below.

a general 2mm thickness is provided to it. once it is make sure the dog house is extending in downward direction outside of the component.
By using boolean operation we do a union trim to obatin a soild body with no gap in between.

the final dog house is obtained sucessfully.
