Week 8 Part 9 Project 3 - Surface Design

Project 3: Creation of Door Switch Bezel and add thickness to it

Steps followed:

1. Checking of class A surface for patches and edges using boundary or join commands

2. Creation of tooling axis by creating tooling axis in x and y directions and then creating a bisecting line between these two axes to create the final tooling axis.

3. Doing draft analysis to clear all faces in main tooling direction. The nominal draft value considered is 3 degrees for all faces.

4. Working on different areas such as bin area, rest area by extracting and offsetting the surfaces respectively on the B-side.

5. Creation of class C surface by extracting boundary of class A surface and sweeping it with draft direction in such a way that parting line is created at B-surface.

6. Final trimming of class A, class B and class C surface

7. Creating closed volume with final trim
