Week - 8 - Morphing

AIM: To practice all the morphing techniques of a given component.

SOFTWARE USED: ANSA (VERSION 19.1.5).

ABOUT ANSA: Ansa was developed by beta cae systems, and the fullform of ansa is Automatic Net Generation For Structural Analyis.

MORPHING: It is used to change the dimension or its shape with the help of existing model.(or) To change the shape of a body , component "morphing tool" will be used for that.

NECESSITY: For example, A Designer design a car in 2012 . That car hits the market very well, so the company will ask the designer to modify the car dimensions and to enhance it into new features. so the designer need to design a car is time taken process ,in that process the designer ask the requirement of a company and he will change the shape ,style , and gives elegent design to that model. by using this morphing technique.

it is going to be launched in 2014 as a new feature model.

ADVANTAGES:

1) Reduce the time.

2) Easy process

3)No need to hesitate.

Examples:

• By using these morphing techniques the car will change suv to sedan .
• It also helps in auto control block creation.
• it is mainly used in cae domain for NVH analysis.

USES CASES IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES AND APPLICATION:

1)Creation of multiple holes in a given zone.

2) Creation of multiple crash initiators in a given zone.

3) creation of multiple ribs in a given zone.

result: These are the uses of morphing in automobile industry ,especially to calculate NVH or to change the vehicle dimension with in a less time.
