Week 8-Challenge

OBJECTIVE:-

To create a 3D meshing of the component using hypermesh. And attain the required quality.

QUALITY CRITERIA:-

Elements sizes: Min- 2mm, Target- 5mm, Max- 7mm

Tet collapse: 0.10 to 0.15

PROCEDURE:-

STEP-1:

Delete the two Solid component by using F2 as the shortcut key from keyboard, Select the solids and then select the displayed solid component and click on delete entity.

STEP-2:

Do the geometry cleanup of the two surfaces only.

STEP-3:

Mesh the components part by 3D-Tetramesh-Tetramesh parameters-put up the values and mesh

STEP-4:

To minimize the tet collapse goto 3D-Tetramesh remesh-fill the the required values and remesh it.

RESULTS-

Now to check with the quality mainly we are focused on tria collapse,getting fewer trias failed are ok.To check that goto Tool-check elements-3d-tria collapse.

In this way the given model is meshed successfully.
