Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover
Draft Analysis of Fan Cover
Aim:
- To create the tooling axis for the given Fan cover model on the draft angle basis and perform the Draft analysis on the Fan cover.
Objective:
- The tooling axis for the given Fan cover should be created to fill the draft angle criteria.
- The Draft analysis should be done to check whether the tooling axis is created correctly.
Output:
Class A Surface

Class A surface Analysis

- The Boundary is created from the given Fan cover Surface A.
- The Disassemble is done to separate the curve and to verify whether there is any joint issue in the given Class-A surface.
- The verification is done and there is no joint issue in Fan cover Class A surface.
Tooling Axis Creation
- The tooling axis is created by intersect method.
- The point is created.
- Then by knowing the basis of manufacturing the tooling axis is created.
- The given Fan cover is viewed in the x, y, and z axes.
- The dummy axis is created to find the absolute tooling axis for a given fan cover.
- The Dummy tooling Axis is created for the X-axis by using the bisecting line method.

- The Dummy tooling Axis is created for the Y-axis by using the bisecting line method.

- By using the Created tooling of X and Y the Absolute tooling is created.
- The bisecting lines are used to create the Absolute tooling axis.
- The two bisecting lines are the Dummy tooling axis of the X and Y axes and through the point.

Draft Analysis
- The Daft analysis is created to see whether the absolute tooling Axis is created correctly or not.
- The draft angle is within the limit as per the analysis.
- The Draft analysis is done and the Tooling axis created for Fan cover is good to go for the manufacturing process.
