Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover

Draft Analysis:

It is made to ensure that the component has the clearance draft angle correct for ease of ejection of the part in the manufacturing process.

Tooling axis :

Tooling axis is a reference line where the draft angle of a feature is created on the basis of this tooling axis

Bisecting method:

To create the accurate tooling axis , the part must the cut horizonntally (xy-direction) and vertically (yz- direction). Creating a bisecting line of both the outside phases of both the cuts as shown below.

This results in two bisecting line of two direction which is used to create the accurate bisecting tooling axis line from above bisecting method.

Draft Analysis output:

Since the clearance angle was (3 degrees), the part cleared and shown in green as customised in the draft analysis tool.
