Challenge

Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

Aim: Create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

Step 1: Check the connectivity of the surface to ensure there is no gap.

Step 2 : Creating the tooling Axis - A dummy tooling axis is created to the surface which need to do draft and analysis. Intersection is taken and through the sketch a Tooling axis is created.

sTEP 3 : bASE BRACKET CLASS B Surface is created Surfaces are extracted from the given surface. then the untrim operation is performen and extrapolate the surfaces to ensure there would be no gap between the surfaces while trimming.

Step 4 : Fillet are provided by measuring the surface feature.

Step 5: Class C surface is generated through sweep operation

Final trim is done.

Ensuring that there is no gap between the surface through boundary operation.

Creating a part file and through close surface.
