Week 7-Long Piston With Cam

Objective:

To perform a transient analysis on a piston and cam mechanism model.

Procedure:

• At first import the model from the brouser.
• Next start giving the Boundary conditions to the model.
• Make sure giving the friction less, frictional values to the model.
• We need to run the analysis with Frictionless contact, Frictional with 0.1 and 0.2.
• Compare the values of Equivalent Stress, Directional Deformation and Equivalent Elastic Strain.
• Save the model and record the values.

CASE 1:

• Make the contact as friction less and solve the model.
• Record the model for frictionless contact and save the model.

CASE 2:

• Make the contact as frictional and solve the model.
• Provide the frictional value as 0.1.
• Record the model for frictionless contact and save the model.

CASE 3:

• Make the contact as frictional and solve the model.
• Provide the frictional value as 0.2.
• Record the model for frictionless contact and save the model.

Result:

The transient analysis on a piston and cam mechanism model is performed and the casevalues are recorded.
