Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

OBJECTIVE:

The main objective is to extract the mid-surface of the given component to mesh the component and check the quality criteria for the component.

CAD MODEL IMAGE:

PROCEDURE:

*Import the given geometry.

*Delete the solids.

*Cleanup the geometry.

*Extract the mid-surface of the component.

*I used the toggle tool to delete the surface lines.

*And used unsuppressed tool to create the imaginary lines as real lines.

*I divided the full geometry into infinite parts.

*With small small surfaces i meshed the surface with mixed tool in the 5 units

*And finally i checked the quality criteria.

*i used smooth,node edit options to reduce the failed meshes.

*Atlast some of the meshes in the hemming region doesn't get reduced.

RESULT:

The given hood model is meshed and mid-surface is extracted.
