Week 6 - Creating connection for Rear door

CHALLENGE 6 SEAT DOOR CONECTIONS

AIM: - Model the seat door component with proper connections by using NASTRAN Deck.

The procedure that has been followed for giving connections.

  • Connections are performed by using RBE 2 (single/Multi).
  • To create a bolt, we need to go to topo mode- points -on cog-now go to convert-3d points by clicking cog point -then assign connections-bolts.
  • To create the rigid body we will use RBE2( two node, many node) then we can get cluster joints, two node joints etc.

Total Connections that has performed for entire component as shown in below captures.

INNER VIEW:-

OUTER VIEW:-

to fix the rigid of two mirrors one is fixed & other is moved We need to create curves at the edges of two mirrors that have been assigned in the model we need to do is

* go to curves in topo mode-draw curves by using feet 2 curves on both sides of the mirror.

* The next step that needs to follow is go to connectivity in utilities then select the line individually and assign a spot line .

* after assigning the spot line we need to connections manager & select line then select RBE3-CBUSH-RBE3-ASSIGN SEARCH DISTANCE,PART1, PART2,CREATE PBUSH IN PROPERTY -then hit apply & realize

The below capture represents the values that have been assigned during the spot weld connections.

After assigning the spot weld connections we need to model the handle portion that has shown in the below capture in NASTRAN Mode.

Assign cluster nodes for two holes & create two node RBE2 then assign weight as 1e-4 in CONEM2 in element session

The below-shown captures represent the connections at which has created by using RBE2(two node & many nodes)

Conclusion:-

Hence the model is modelled by using NASTRAN Deck to provide connections of the given component.
