Week 6-3D Tetra Meshing Challenge

 Week 6-3D Tetra Meshing Challenge

Aim: To perform 3D tetra meshing of the given component.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->1.      <!--[endif]-->2D mesh to 3D conversion

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Surface meshing

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Quality check

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Convert 2D element into 3D tetra mesh

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->2.      <!--[endif]-->Tetra Mesh/ Volume Tetra Mesh

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Solid mesh

Procedure (2D – 3D conversion): -

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->1.      <!--[endif]-->Surface meshing: - Begin by a surface mesh by using auto meshing option, use one by one each surface.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->2.      <!--[endif]-->Mesh Generation: Utilize the Auto Mesh option to generate the mesh:

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Select the appropriate surface(s) for meshing.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Specify the number of elements as required.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Choose the mesh type that best suits the component.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->A only tria type mesh was generated on the selected surfaces with consideration for the specified element count and mesh type

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->3.      <!--[endif]-->Element Editing: Minimize the use of wherever possible. Use the Element Edit option to

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Use rebuild command to rebuilt the flow of element, sometime not getting proper mesh flow, so rebuild command is more effectively used.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Efforts were made to minimize flow elements while adjusting element positions, combining elements, and creating new elements as needed.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->4.      <!--[endif]-->Quality Criteria Check:

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Access the 2D option to assess the quality of the mesh

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Examine the quality index and sort elements from worst to bad

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Identify and address problematic elements (highlighted in red, yellow, etc.).

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Scrutinize each quality criterion (check each element).

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Resolve any remaining quality issues using the clean-up tools mentioned earlier.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->5.      <!--[endif]-->Element Clean-up: To rectify poor-quality elements, employ the clean-up tools. Resolve issues by applying appropriate clean-up operations.

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->6.      <!--[endif]-->Convert into 3D mesh:- by using 3D meshing option, give proper quality criteria (% Tet collapse).

Procedure (volume tetra mesh): -

This is simple only you need to go for volume mesh, select solid component, and mesh it , then check for quality index, if error founf try to resolved it

Conclusion: - In summary, this meshing process has been conducted in a systematic and methodical manner, resulting in a high-quality mesh that meets the necessary standards. The attention to detail and commitment to quality throughout the procedure make this meshing report a valuable reference for future analysis and simulations.
