Week- 5 - Solid meshing

Aim - For the given Rear view mirror component, check for the geometrical errors and mesh the Surfaces

procedure -

1.After recieving the model i did a geometry check and made sure i did a proper geo and topo clean up and passed the check

2.after the geometry check i started with the 2d mesh starting with the first component in the property card

3. setting the quality , average mesh size , and the type of mesh ive meshed the flat surface with tria mesh and the curved surfaces with the ortho tria mesh

4.After the 2d meshing i started with the volume mesh

5.defining the volume a separate property card was set as psolid for all the components of the model

6. ive used the tetra rapid option for the voulume mesh keeping the tet colapse quality in check for all the components

result -

The given rear view mirror component has been meshed

outcome - learnt a new volume meshing methods for components with above 5mm thickness
