Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly
Objective: To clean all the geometrical errors present on the surface of the given models and perform a surface mesh of the model with a target length of 3mm.
Process:
To clean up the geometrical errors of all the models, especially in the engine model, all the unnecessary objects such as doughnut and ring structures present in the engine model are deleted carefully preserving all the engine parts after deleting all the unnecessary objects the single cons and triple errors present on the surface are resolved using various tools. For the process of surface wrapping solving penetration, errors are not necessary but wherever required it is solved. And after solving all the geometrical errors on the surface of the models all the holes protruding inside the surface of the model or the holes exposing the inner surfaces of the model are sealed up in order to avoid meshing any internal surfaces. The snapshots of the cleaned and uncleaned models are shared below.

After deleting all the unnecessary objects and cleaning all the surface geometries and sealing all the holes using the Wrap tool from the octree menu of the classic mesh toolbar surface wrap of all the objects with a target length of 3mm and constant length throughout the warp is performed before all the dummy PIDs are removed using the compress tool to avoid any unnecessary warping
As seen above the constant length option is selected to keep the length of the edges of the mesh throughout the model to be constant and not variable and after selecting the constant length option new surface warp is initiated by clicking on the new button in the opened menu.

After initiating the warp the target length of the warp the object to be warped are entered from the opened menu

after selecting the objects the run button is pressed to wrap the selected objects.
The snapshots of the surface-wrapped models are shared below

After surface wrapping all the models they are merged together using the merge tool
