Ans:-
We are having four Applications of power Converters. In Electric Vehicle we use Three power converter applications are DC-DC, AC-DC, DC-AC.
The AC-AC converters are not used in Electric Vehicles design.
DC-DC is used to an unregulated DC input into Regulated power output.
In this DC-DC Type we have varous Convertors based on the requirement of supply, it will easy to choose those Convertors.
Isolated Convertors, Non Isolated Convertors, Resonant Convertors.
Isolated Convertors: - There Input and output side are isolated Electrically. Ouput polarities are not being influenced by the input polarities.
ex:-Tranformers in between input and output side.(flyback, fforword, half bridge, full bridge)
Non Isolated Convertors:-In this Case we are just by using step up and step down techniques converting the DC power of a device.
Buck(stepdown operation), Boost(Helps step in up the Voltage level), Buck Boost(Both step up and stepdown operation)
Resonant Convertors:-These are used for high Power Convertions. It control the Lagging and Loading Of Inductence and Conductence of Circuit design.

It will deliver the power to auxilary loads are different voltage.
HV battery and LV Battery Link.
Using Low voltage battery for high voltage Load of motor system.
DC-AC Convertors(Inverters)
when we are using a Induction Motor for controlling it we Require this Methodoly from Supply unit of Battery.
It controls the Magnitude and Frequency of Output AC voltage.
- AC-DC Convertors(Rectifiers)
It Takes palce in Charging part of EV Battery.
It Rectifys the Fluctuating of Magnitude, Frequency and Converts into a DC.
In the Horn Design We Use a DC-DC Convertor which use less than the 10V. As we connect the Input for the Devices in the Vehile through Battery. So the Battery is DC Supply. For the Horn in the Vehicle we Use Stepdown DC Voltage as Input.
In the below the circuit example for DC-DC convertor Horn with Different voltage level.
There are Some Applications We Use these Power Convertors are
Battery charging we use AC-DC Converter.
For aTwo wheeler Vehicles Design We Use DC-DC Converter.
For the Windows Auto setup We use DC-DC supply which is less than 10V.
DC-AC Converter Technique is Used for Motor Power supply through Battery.
