power converter uses to transform voltage and current form one level and shape to other . there are different type of the power converter are used in the electric vehicle for different purposes and according to their need.

1 ) ac to dc converte

AC-DC converter takes a harmonic AC input and converts it to a DC output. this is also known as the rectifier. it is generally used for the onboard chaging purpose.

2) dc to dc converter

the dc to dc converter used to convert the unregulated dc to regulated dc .also we can say like it transform the power from one level to another it is uses to various application having different rating present in the vehicle like ac cooling, sound system. display system and othere auxillary system

3)dc to ac

the dc to ac converter also called as inverter it can control the magnitude and frewquency of the ouptut ac voltage and mainly use in control of ac motor.
