Week - 4

1- WORKING PRINCIPLE OF A WASHING MACHINE:

A washing machine is device certain procedure to wash the cloths some may depend on materials settected, anyhow a washing machine has basic six stage & or more stages of operation, a basic six stage washing considered, 1-checking power supply quality, 2-water supply availability, 3-Soaking, 4-Washing, 5-Rising, 6-Drying and Finish/stop.

1- Checking quality Power supply: Based on washing machine desing the power supply is monitored and start the operations.

2- Watter supply: Machine checkes for the water availabilty and fill the drum and start the operations.

3- Soaking Stage: Dipping the clothes with detergent water to weaken/remove dirt from the clothes for 200sec and go for next stage.

4- Washing: Washing the cloths by spping with water and detergent for 100sec and go to next stage.

5- Rinsing: The dirt with soap water will be drained and rewashed with fresh water for 20sec and go to next stage.

6- Drying: Afgter the water drained the machine is runed for 50sec to get the cloths dry and stop the process.

2- “Gear shift” logic:

To make a Simulink chart for the “Gear shift” logic as per below conditions:

Speed Range(km/hr) Gear

0 to 15 1

16 to 25 2

26 to 40 3

41 to 60 4

Above 61 5

Logic function for gear shifting as per above speed variation is ploted below and exicuted.

Gear Shift Logic Flow chart:

Selected slider block upto 150 range switch for speed range variation.

Light indication is given to identify the gear position as per the speed range.

Slider switch is connected for engine==1 has iginition and engine is run condition, engine==0 iginition of and engine is at off condition not gear shift change.
