1. Implement control logic of a "Washing Machine" using stateflow as per given sequence:

Principle of Washing machine:

  • Working Principle of a Washing Machine Superficially, washing clothes is a pretty straightforward process. Technically, this process is addressed as something called agitation. It is a process of improving the liquid’s chemical or physical action by employing a forced circulatory or any other periodic motion.

Soaking:

  • The basic idea of a clothes washer is simple: it sloshes your clothes about in soap suds for a while and then spins fast to remove the water afterward. But there's a bit more to it than that. Think of a clothes washer and you probably think of a big drum that fills with water—but there are actually two drums, one inside the other.

Washing:

  • The main principles behind the working of a washing machine are the centrifugal and centripetal forces, Where centrifugation helps quicken the process of sedimentation of different density particles to clean the laundry in the washing machine. The washing machine operates in two primary cycles. These are the wash cycle and the rinse cycle.

Dryer:

  • The principle of operation of the drying function in the machine is extremely simple. Behind the drum there is a second heating element, the main task of which is to heat the air. Warm air flows to the laundry, causing moisture to evaporate from the fabric.

Stateflow:

  • Implementing control logic of a “washing machine” using Stateflow as per given sequence: If the power supply is available, the system gets activated If the Water supply is not available, stop the process & indicate through LED.

Controll of washing machine:

  • The washing machine includes a controller communicating with the motor. The controller sends signals to the motor to rotate the basket at selective rotational speeds, and receives electronic signals indicating the power used to rotate the basket at selective speeds.

  • The two inputs are given for the power supply and water supply, Once the input are given outputs are diplayed by the flow chart as per the given sequence. The s/m are observed for sometime then it is checked and the process is completed and as displayed.

GEAR SHIFT LOGIC:

a gear shift mechanism for manual transmission includes a shaft axially movable for selecting shift planes and rotatable for engaging the gears definding the shift planes the shaft held in a reference shift plane by two helical springs.

Results:

  1. Thus the controll logic of a washing machine using state flow is processed as per the given sequence and LED lights are turns to the green color and the s/m is completed.
  2. A simulink model is created for the gear shift logic and using slider gain the values are obtained.
