Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

Aim: To Mesh the Given component with the Size of 5 Units & to Create 1D elements on the following component with given cross-section and DOF.

Procedure: 1) Mid surface:

Auto mid surface has been used to extract the midsurface for this simple bracket.

2)Assign material property:

i) create new property and material for individual rigid and rbe3 element.

ii) Assign individual card.

3)mesh :

i) Before meshing around hole create washer split and autoclean.

ii) meshing with gib=ven units.

4)1-D elements:

i) create rbe2 element using rigid option where it is required.

ii) create rbe3 element where it is required.

iii) Then, create beam,rod,bar elements with given dof and assign the property.

5) Hyperbeam:

i) Go to --> 1D --> Hyperbeam --> Create --> standard section ---> Hypermesh --> I - section and create required shape beam with given magnitude or dimension and assign them into the property.

6)Masses:

give masses in required rbe2 element .

7) spring :

using spring connect two brakets

8) traditional view

using traditional view show it in 3-D view

conclusion:The mesh & creation of 1D element has been successfully achieved as per the given dimension.
