Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

Step - 1: Import the given geometry into hypermesh software.

Step - 2 : Mid surface to be created on that geometry.

Step - 3 : Unwanted solid bodies removed.

Step - 4 : Materials and properties on the two surfaces are to be assigned.

Step - 5 : Washer split created to mesh a surfaces.

Step - 6 : 2D mesh with 5 units to be done for that surfaces.

Step - 7 : RBE2 & RBE3 elements to be created.

Step - 8 : Hyperbeams Rod, I section Beam & Bar created

Step - 9 : 1D Rod, Beam & Bar elements created

Step - 10 : 1D element properties for Rod, Beam & Rod to be created and it added to the 1D Rod, Beam and Bar elements as shown.

Step - 11 : Finally the two brackets are connected with spring elements.
