- For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.
Advisor tool is installed and launched. Changed units to Metric, loaded the file EV_defaults_in from drop down menus. Changed the mass to 500 kg and left all other parameters including the energy storage with 25 battery modules as default as shown below.
Changed the drive cycle to FTP drive cycle as shown below:
Ran this cycle and changed the component to other and plot variable to distance as below.
The maximum distance with the default parameter is 2 km.
Changed the battery modules to 75 and re-ran the analysis and the state of charge of the battery at the end of cycle has increased and distance travelled is also increased.
Increased the battery quantity to 2000 and the distance travelled has increased to
