Week 3 - 2D meshing for Sheet metal

OBJECTIVE:- To Perform Mesh on the given Hood Model.

PROCEDURE:- First i perform geometry checkup, Topo, Create mid Surface and set PID, after creating mid surface i input Quality criteria parameter and mesh parameter and then generate the a mesh on the given model after generating the mesh i improve the Mesh Quality.

1.Input the CAD Model into ANSA then after i checked for geometry checkup i saw many errors then i do auto fix and some i fixed manually.

2.generate mid surface and i use the offset command there are two type of generate auto mid surface and offset but i used offset after make mid surface.

3. i will setup PID in PID setup and after check the thickness of material.

4. after performing mid surface i will setup Quality Criteria in Quality Criteria. 1.Target Length = 5, 2. Min Lenght =2, 3. Max Length = 7

5. After the putting all the value Quality Criteria then i perform meshing in mesh i used best option for meshing to perform this operation we just simply select the surface and press middle mouse button then mid surface is generated.

6. Final Model of Hood

RESULT:-

During this project i learn ANSA Software and many command i learn like Boolean, Topo, Best Mesh,TOPO, RECONSTRUCT, SMOOTH, INSERT,OFFSET, PID, MATERIAL,Reconstruction and many more.
