Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal
Aim : Proper Mid surfacing,Good Mesh Flow, Thickness Assignment of "WOOD MODEL".
Wood(Automobile) :
The hood or bonnetis the hinged cover over the engine of motor vehicles. Hoods can open to allow access to the engine compartment, or trunk on rear-engine and some mid-engine vehicles) for maintenance and repair.
Procedure : Import -> Cons resolution by Length option in Mesh modeule. -> Give TOPO ->Checking the geometrical errors. ->Clearing the geometry errors. ->Creating the midsurface. -> Setting a new pid for the newly created midsurface also adding thickness to it. ->Providing the Target element length by using thje length option in the mesh module. -> Cleaning the Midsurface. ->Spliting the surface in the small square like structures. ->Generating the Mesh. ->Checking and resolving the Tria and Rotating Quard -> Finishing the 'wood model' with proper mid surface and proper good mesh.
Learning outcomes : Learn to identify rotating quads and use of mesh module button & tools, resolve the three trias at one point with next to each other, Get to understand and use of Grids module button -> paste tool.
Conclusion : Now i am able to do the step in procedure with more efficient as per the wood model submission where you can see my work. Also i am step ahead to learn more in the 2d mesh and ansa software.
