Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

Meshing the giving model with different element size :

General procedure:

Intially import the geometry from file location and observe the geometry to find out the tropological error if any, After finding errors in that geometry make the geometry correct by using different tools in Ansa like Surface options, faces options. once the geometry set up is finished finally move to the meshing.

final after geometry cleanup

Meshing:

Before starting meshing we need to set up mesh parameters.

and do the meshing with mesh tools.

Case I:

Element size 5mm type tetra

Element size must give according to the size of the geometry. if it is not, the refined mesh is not achieved

with this mesh size the edges of valve and spring mesh is not accurate that means quality of mesh is not good.

case II

Element size is 3mm

with this size element quality is better than previous but not exactly.

case III

element size is 1mm

with this element size, the meshing is far better than the previous two cases.

conclusion:

Element size is according to geometry size and mesh refinement is should be very lower for getting smooth accurate results
