Challenge

Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

AIM:

To surface meshing on a Pressure valve.

OBJECTIVES:

check for the geometrical errors and perform Topology cleanup accordingly. Set three different target lengths as three different cases and mesh the model.

  • Target length = 1mm, 3 mm and 5 mm (i.e. 3 cases)
  • Element type = Tria

PROCEDURE:

1) First we have to import the given geometry model.

2) Then we have to do topo clean up to the given model.

3) we use under the topo section tools to clean up the geometry.

Then we have assign the PID'S

1) inlet

2) outlet

3) body

4) spring

5) column

6) valve head

7)base surface

PID's:

inlet:

outlet:

body:

valve head:

spring:

column:

base surface:

MESHING PROCCESS:

Then we have to give the mesh parameters and quality creteria and peremeters length

length: 5mm

spring length : 1mm

then clicking spotmesh option to get meshing part.

RESULTS:

length: 3mm

spring length : 1mm

then clicking spotmesh option to get meshing part.

RESULTS:

length: 1mm

spring length : 1mm

then clicking spotmesh option to get meshing part.

RESULTS:

CONCLUSION:

finally we have successfully created the mesh for given length 1mm, 3mm, 5mm.
