fig 1:- 1. Aim- To find the net section area of the given plates

2. The net section area of the plate is 3880mm2

3. which is the crictal area for the section to casuse failure.

4. The given problem is sloved with the help of IS:800-2007.

example:- Failure's angle-1 = AD or BF = 4320mm2

angle-2 = CEG = 3880 mm2

angle-3 = BCEG or ACEG = 3140 mm2

angle-4 = ACF = 3371.8mm2

5. The minimum net area = angle-3= ACEG or BCEG = 3140mm2 (which is crictal area of failure).

Aim:- To design a single angle member of length

Tensile strength provided = 438.21kn,303.94kn,730.71kn is greater than 250 kn /

Hence the angle member is safe .
