Simulink models for Doorbell & Electric Fan
Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block:-

- Door Bell works under the Electromagnetic effect. It’s mainly because the magnetic field created by the electromagnet attracts the iron strip towards it when the circuit is complete and the current flowing in it.
Following Simulink Blocks are used:-
Pulse Generator:- Time based signals are generated for every 2 sec to ring the bell
Scope for Pulse Generator:- to view the input graphs
Battery:- Source
SPST switch:- controlled by battery and Pulse Generator
Electric & Mechanical Reference:- Grounding purpose
Solver Configuration
Solenoid
Ideal Translational Motion Sensor
Scope for Position of Bell Armature

Input & Output Graph and explanation:-

Pulse Generator Parameters:-

At the start the Bell Arm or gong at 0, when the switch is pressed the solenoid gets activated and move towards the bell for every 2 seconds. It is a cyclic process and follows the Input values from Pulse Generator.
Using a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions:
Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds.
Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise.
Simulink Blocks Used:-
Signal Builder
Thermistor
Controlled Temperature Source
Resistor
Electrical Reference
Voltage Source & Sensor
Explanation:-
signal builder is connected to a Controlled temperature source and the input values are connected to a thermistor.
voltage sensor is connected along the resistor
Proper connections are checked with respect to the Thermistor & Voltage sensor from the source (Battery)
Output is connected to the switch for applying the given conditions and scope to used to find the values
Input Temperature:-
0-10 sec: 20 °C or 293k
10-30 sec: 27 °C or 300k
30-50 sec: 23 °C or 296k
