Week -2
(1)1.AIM:Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block.
2.BLOCKS USED:
- pulse generator
- simulink ps convertor
- switch
- battery
- solenoid
- solver configuration
- ideal translation sensor
- scope
3.EXPLANATION:
Pulse generator block is used to give the input signals and phase delay to determaind the shape of output length. After that simulink ps covertor is used to convert signal input to physical system and sent to switch block. To complete the circute the battery switch and solenoid blocks are used.
4.SIMULATION CIRCUTE AND OUTPUT:

5.CONCLUSION:
We have successfully simulated door bell mechanisum operated by solenoid.
(2) 1.AIM: Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions:
Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds
Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise
2.BLOCKS USED:
- Thermistor
- signal builder
- simulink ps convertor
- controlled temperature source
- thermal reference
- battery
- voltage sensor
- electrical reference
- solver configuration
- switch
- constant
3.EXPLANATION:
We added thermistor block, the port is connected with a controlled temperature source block. The temperature difference is set by the physical signal port which is connected to signal builder block with help of simulink ps converter. In signal builder we created a an input signal for system. The battery and voltage sensor are connected in series and resistor is connected in parallel to voltage sensor. The voltage sensor is connected to switch to control the fan with the help of ps simulink covertor to convert signal in input.
4.SIMULATION CIRCUTE AND OUTPUT:

5.CONCLUSION:
We have concluded that heaters give correct output to the input values.
