Week -2
1.Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block
Doorbell:
*Doorbell is a device having mechanical & electrical component produce sound on pressing the button.
*The switch is pressed the circuit loop os complete which cause the current to flow through the electomagnet at desired space allows the plunger to move due to which its hots the bell & produce sound.
Solenoid:
*solenoid is a device comprised of a coil of wire housing & a moveable plunger when an electric current is introduce a magnetic field forms around the coil which draws the plunger in a solenoid converts electrical energy into mechanical wowk.
Explanation:
we use blocks to represent any system to get the desired output.in this project .some blocks to get our desired output.
1.PULSE GENERATOR blocks generates squre wave pulse at regular intervals. The block waveform parameters ampletude pulse width period &phase delay determine the shape of the output waveform.
2.SIMULINK-PS CONVERTER converts the simulink input signal into a physical signal.
3.SWITCH can controlled by an external physical signal.
4.BATTERY gives the power to the close loop.
5.ELECTRICAL REFERENCS shows connection to electrical ground.
6.SOLENOID electrical characteristics & generated force of solenoid.
7.IDEAL TRANSLATIONAL MOTION SENSOR is a motion sensor in mechanical translational system.
8.PS-SIMULINK CONVERTER converts physical into simulink output signal.
9.MECHANICAL TRANSLATIONAL REFERENCES reference connection for mechanical translational system.
10.SCOPE can displays signals generated during simulation.
OUTPUT:

The above two graphs can observe the plunger is moved from its orignal position to some amplitude with time delay of 3sec.
hit the bell & pause there for 2sec & come to its initial position.
2.Thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions:
Thermistor:
Thermistor is a resistance thermometer or a resistor whose resistance is dependent on temperature.
CONDITION:
* temperature sources 20°C from to 10 sec 27°C from 30sec 23°C from 30 - 50 sec.
*fan condition ON if the temperature above 25°C,OFF otherwise.
Explanation:
As per thegiven condition for time & temperature give the values to the signal builder & configure as per our condition.
* simulink-ps converter that converts simulink signal to physical signal.
*the controlled temperature source bock which represents an ideal source of thermal energy that is powerful enough to maintain specified temperature difference across the source.
*this signal passes to thermistor which connected to the battery.
*the voltage sensor is connected to a resistor which is used to measure the voltage as a threshold value for the condition of our circuit.
*fan condition is ON if the temperature is above 25°C ,OFF otherwise. use the switch & provide a threshold value.
*the signal value is greater than the threshold value then tuen it ON otherwise it will be turned OFF.
OUTPUT:
