Week -2

1)Make a simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with the following details:

Blocks used in model :

. Battery terminal
. Switch
. Solenoid
. Electrical reference
. Mechanical reference
. Solver configuration
. Pulse generator
. Scope
. Simulink - PSconverter
. PS converter - Simulink

Model explaination :

FIrstly,Battery is palced and that positive terminal is connected in to the switch open side, amnd the battery negative terminal is connected in to the solenoid negative, solenoid acts as electrical and mechanical ie power gives to the solenoid terminalthen the copper coil acts as magnetic field,if the battery terminal is connected to the solenoid then it will acts magenetic power on copper coil, before that solenoid positve terminal is connected as a electrical reference, sitch another terminal also connected to the elctrical reference, in this switch contains ps converter, at that ps converterconverted in simulink convereter so simulink converter block terminal is placed, pulse generator and scope is connected to that simulink to ps block.Pulse generator is acts like timer , when it will ring and what time after come to its rest position, here in the alarm only ac ring in 2 sec after that it comes relaxed position, again some time it will ring, this process is continue till we open the
switch terminal and battery terminal is removed,as we discussed solenoid takes electrical power it acts as a magenetic coil, at that magnetic coil R terminal is connected to the ideal translationalsensor block R terminal, both contain c termnal is connected,we consider as a mechanical reference
after all solver configuration is connected after the switch terminal, since we using physical system bocks are taken confirmly solver configuration is placed

RESULT :

If the switch terminal is closed then bell will ring 2 sec ie it completes the cycle and it will closed, after two seconds it released,as we seen in scope at pulse generator side, the waves are looks like a bargraph but we seen in the ideal translational sensor block it comes are oscillating waves seen in scope, the process is continues till we open the switch.

2)Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan

Blocks used in this model :

. Battery terminal
. Thermistor
. Resistor
. Voltage sensor
. Electrical reference
. controlled temperature source
. Thermal reference
. simulink-PSconverter
. Signal builder
. PS-Simulink converter
. Display
. Constant
. Simulink switch
. Scope
. DC motor
. Ideal andgular velocity source
. Mechanical Rotational reference
. ideal Rotational motion sensor

Model explaination :

firstly, battery is taken and connected to the thermistor ,where the thermistor is the resistor to conatain the temperature source,is thermistor conatins a temeperature so it connect to the controlled temperature source, here input are given so we taken as the signal builderas following the inputs by using with ps-simulink converter.the thermistor source is connected to the resistor and the voltage sensor after that it is connected to the electrical reference, we can select the switch as variable inputs so we taken as simulink switch, two constant 1,0 is also added to the simulink switch, after the switch is connected ideal angular velocity source, and the battery dc motor is used, since we run as a fan in dc.then the dc motor as a electro mechanical relation,if the c is taken as a reference and the terminal R is connected to angular velocity source Rthose connected in to the ideal rotational motion sensor is used, it contains a ps system so solver configuration is used as per electrical mechanical and thermal system, after all these connected we see that happening in the system by using a scope

Result :

by using the inputs of the system
20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds we can solve the block diagram and also apply the temperature is raised on 25 degrees, the fan will start an automatically,if we reached the temperature as below 25 degrees, the fan connected is to be automatically off
