Week -2
AIM:-
1) To Simulate the model of a bell that operates in intermissions of 2 seconds when the input is given using a solonoid.
2) To simulate the control of a fan based on the temperature range using a thermistor.
Sol 1: Bell)-
-An electromagnetic system is made using the solonoid. Thus on applying a current the solonoid must translate linearly to ring the bell.
- We can use a steped input signal that is given to the switch. thus as the signal varies from 0 to 1, at one the voltahe is allowed to pass through ringing the bell.
- The fluctuations in the graph indicates that there is a small delay and interference generated as the sononoid system moves up and down that is seen in the graph.
Sol 1: Fan)-
- In this two methods can be used as input parameters , i.e through a signal builder block or a repeating sequence stair,
-both methods can be used however there are more options to be edited in the signal builder block.
- This signal is given as a temperature input(via the pulse) that can be sensed, thus the heating element takes this as input and generates the temperature.
- The thermoister takes in the input temperatures from the heating elements and inturn converts to a potential.
- These voltages either pass through the resistor or go through the temperature sensor. thus producing a difference that can be configured to be read as a 0 or a 1.
- Thus the voltage drop is set to be the threshold value .
Input Blocks:-
- Scope:- It generates graphs based on the given outputs and can be configured such that multiple graphs can be generated in the same scope.
- pulse generator:- this generates a pulse input and can be configured to takes various pre built signals.
- ps-simulink and simulink ps converter:- this can convert signals to a single physical source or vice versa.
-References (mech,temp,electri):- the mechanical represents a frame of reference for motion and rigidity.. the thermal represents a absolute zero...and the electrical is given to provide a grounded state .
-solenoid: explained above
-Ideal translational sensor:- this senses the motion in this case from the solonoid movements .
-switch:- this is a single way switch that is operated by the pule that is converted to a single physical signal i.e 0 or 1.
-Thermistor: This is a temperature based resistori.e: based on the temperature values the resistor value changes.
-resistance: - this is a normal resistor .
- control temperature source: this block takes in the physical input and generates the required temperature as a source.
-voltage sensor:- this block converts the set voltage ranges to an electrical signal.
-solver configuration:- The Solver Configuration block specifies the solver parameters that your model needs before you can begin simulation. Each topologically distinct Simscape block diagram requires exactly one Solver Configuration block to be connected to it.
