Week 12:Project 2-Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder challenge

Aim :- Meshing of Rear Wheel holder challenge.

Follow the below-mentioned quality criteria, mesh the component given below and assign thickness:

Ans :-

1) Model Import and Geometry Clenaup -

Import model using import option, now we have to check the model for geometrical errors. There are some geometrical errors are found to fix that we used tolerence, filler surfs, replace node, etc. options from quick edit panel.

2) Qualtiy Criteria -

We have to give elems. qualtiy criteria for good quality mesh, for that

Preferences - criteria file setting - edit qualilty values - apply - ok.

3) Midsurf Mesh -

For this model we gonna use Midsurf mesh option which is option like batchmeshing, where we can create midsurface, mesh and thickness assignment automatically step by step even we can do midsurface preparation and meshing preparation too.

for midsurf mesh option, Mesh - create - Midsurf mesh - select geometry - give element length - mesh type - start.

4) Quality Check -

Now we have to check the elems. for given quality criteria, for elems. checking use option quality index from 2D option panel. There are some elems. which were failing for given quality criteria to fix them we use smooth, combine, split, align, automesh, rebuild mesh, etc. options.

5) Property and Thickness assignment -

Due to using midsurf mesh option, properties and thickness for different parts has been assigned to it automatically.

6) Duplicate elems. and Equivalence check -

To check for duplicate elements, tool - check elems. - duplicate.

To check foe equivalence, tool - faces - preview equivalence.

7) Final Result -
