Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder using Hyper Mesh
Objective: To mesh the rear wheel holder of the passenger car vehicle using Hypermesh.
Test case:

Theory:

The basic idea of FEA is to make calculations calculations at only limited finite number of points and then interpolate the results results for the entire domain (surface or volume). volume). Any continuous continuous object has infinite degrees degrees of freedom freedom and it’s just not possible possible to solve the problem in this format. Finite Element Element Method reduces the degrees degrees of freedom freedom from infinite to finite with the help of discretization etization or meshing meshing (nodes and elements).
What does Meshing Mean ?
Meshing is an integral part of the engineering simulation process where complex geometries are divided into simple elements that can be used as discrete local approximations of the larger domain. The mesh influences the accuracy, convergence and speed of the simulation. Furthermore, since meshing typically consumes a significant portion of the time it takes to get simulation results, the better and more automated the meshing tools, the faster and more accurate the solution.
Importance of Proper Meshing in FEA:
Predictive computational models of real-world scenarios are commonly used during the product development process. Engineers and scientists use finite element analysis, also known as FEA to build these models. The use typically begins with a computer-aided design (CAD) model that represents the physical parts being simulated as well as knowledge of the material. This information enables the prediction of real-world behavior, often with very high levels of accuracy. Proper meshing plays a critical role during this process.
Procedure:
Import of the Given Model

The above picture represents the floor panel of an passenger car vehicle. Here in this case we have to perform 2-D mesh on this component by following the given quality criteria and the parameters. In order to mesh this component in hyper mesh we have to go through and follow some parameters that are to be suggestive like proceeding with the manual geometry clean-up and then proceedingfor the 2-D meshing by following the criteria given to us.
Mid-Surface Extraction:

The above picture represents the mid-surface extraction of the floor panel of the passenger car vehicle. In this case we perform the auto mid-surface to extract the mid-surface from this component and then proceed for the further process involved in it.
Quality Criteria:

The above picture represents the given quality criteria that is to be followe by us while performing mesh and make sure that no element is failing through this criteria file that we have assigned.
Meshing of the Model:

The above pictures represts the meshing on the floor panel for the passenger car vehicle by following all the quality criteria and the parameters. There were few errors taht we have gone through in between the process of meshing the component but delibrately overcomed it by following the different approach to solve those errors and fix it out.

The above picture represents the quality index for the component of the floor panel in the passenger car vehicle. Where in this case we get to know that in which particular area the elements are getting failed through the qualioty criteiria that we have provided.
Assigning Thickness:

The above two pictures represents the thickness assigned to the mesh that we have generated followed by creating a property card where we allocate the certain thickness to the component according to it's relevant thickness.

The above picture represents the property card that we have created and assigned the relevant thickness that is to be allocated. Which is of 0.8mm
Conclusion: Therefore a proper mesh flow has been performed on the rear wheel holder of a passenger car vehicle by meeting all the quality parameters without any fail and assigning thickness to it.
