REPORT

 

From the given CAD file, the Part Names are named as Door Arm Rest, Map Pocket, Bottle Holder and Lower Substrate. Next is creating the Geometry Set for the master section.

DOOR ARM REST

 

TOOLING AXIS

First Extract the suitable surface and create the point on the Surface. Then Create the line by the define line command by the reference of the surface and point.

CREATING THE CLASS B SURFACE

Create the Class B by the Offset of the Class A to 2.5mm guiding of Mater section.

CREATE THE CLASS C

Creating the Class C Surface by the Sweep command using the boundary Extraction and Join with Class A and Trim with Class B Surface. Make the Close view. And by using join and trim command full close view is Created.

SOLID BODY CREATION

By Inserting a new body and using Close View Command solid body is been created.

DRAFT ANALYSIS

Draft analysis is done on the Closed Surface.

              

• Tooling Axis is unhidden.

 

• At First draft analysis option is selected in that under Display Colour Scale is made shown.

 

• Now under direction compass is been selected to define the Draft direction.

 

• The Axis is been picked and placed over the Tooling Axis.

 

• Now it is been locked by selecting lock option

 

For convenience the display colour on the colour scale variant is been changed.

Same step is followed on all 4 parts

ATTACHMENTS CREATION

FLANGES

For creating the flanges, extraction is taken from the master section and made a point on that curve then created one plane on that point followed by creating a sketch on that plane taking the point created as the origin.

DOG HOUSE

For creating the dog house the base surface of the lower substrate has been extracted and made a point on that extracted surface and sketched on it.

PUSH PINS

Pushpins were placed on the dog house. Total three push pins were used. Assemble the push pin on the dog house by the constrain and offset command in the Product workbench.

HEAT STAKES

From the master section, the outer diameter of the heat stake is 7.5 mm and the inner diameter is 4.5 mm. Necessary slots are made onto other parts where heat stakes will attach together. Draft of 0.5 degrees has been given to all the heat stakes.
