Week 11 - Final project
FOR THE FINAL PROJECT WE HAVE RECIVED A CAT FILE WHICH CONTAINS THE COMPLETE DOOR TRIM

This is the given surface we get along with the master section is provided.
CREATION OF TOOLING AXIS:-
As we can see from the Y-Axis we can get a surface for the creation of tooling axis and do a draft analysis to check if the component will clear the draft analysis. The minimum draft analysis for the component is 3degrees.
- ARM REST:-

We can see that a small error has been found in the given class A-surface, since we are not allowed to change or modify the class A-Surface we increase the merging distance of the class A-surface to 0.09mm(only for the class A surface this is applicable)

This is the new improved class A-surface where we have increased the merging distance to 0.09mm using the join command.
Now coming to the creation of tooling axis:-
- FOR ARM REST:-

- FOR LOWER SUBSTRATE:-

- FOR MAP POCKET:-

- FOR BOTTLE HOLDER:-

Now for all the components the tooling axis has been created now we perform a draft analysis on the class A-Surface
DRAFT ANALYSIS:-
- FOR ARM REST:-

- FOR LOWER SUBSTRATE:-

- FOR MAP POCKET:-

- FOR BOTTLE HOLDER:-

We can see that all of the component clear the draft analysis performed very well once we have cleared the draft analysis we move forward for the creation of B surface
CREATION OF CLASS B SURFACE:-
For the creation of B surface we usually offset the whole surface according to the given offset value in this case we have been given a total thickness of 2.5mm so we offset the class A surface to 2.5mm
- FOR ARM REST:-

the surface has been offset now due to fillet presence we encounter few errors in the offset surface we generally use extract, multiple-extract, and multisection surface to join this B surface and finally we get the B surface
- FOR LOWER SUBSTRATE:-

- FOR MAP POCKET:-

Here also we encounter we patches we resolve them by using the commands use extract, multiple-extract, and multisection surface to join this B surface and finally we get the B surface.
- FOR BOTTLE HOLDER:-

Now the B surfaces have been created now we head towards creation of class C surface using sweep command.
CREATION OF CLASS C SURFACE :-
- FOR ARM REST:-

- FOR LOWER SUBSTRATE:-

- FOR MAP POCKET:-

- FOR BOTTLE HOLDER:-

Once the C surface is created we join both the surfaces using join command

Once both A & C surface are joined together we trim A+C Surfaces together with B surface and we obtain a complete closed surface.

We have obatined all the close surface now to check if the surface is completely closed we use boundary conditions to check if the surface is perfecly closed or if any patches are left open.

This dialog box appears on the screen knowing that we have successfully obtained a perfect closed surface>
NOW WE USE CLOSED SURFACE COMMAND FROM PART WORK BENCH TO CLOSE THE BODY/THICKEN IT

We have obtained the closed surface now we perform a DRAFT ANALYSIS on the closed surface to check if the component will clear the draft analysis
