Week 11 - Final project

FInal Project Report

The Door Assembly can be divided as four parts

The door arm rest

The lowe substrate

The bottle holder

The upper part

Fistly started with the doorm arm rest

Class A surface is given. Firstly the tooling axis is created . As per the mastersection the class B should be created using offseting the class A Two times. Class C SUrface is then created using sweep and multisections

The final body is then obtained using triiming A+C with B surface and then it is made to a close body in the part design work bench

With help of mastersections Flanges are made by measuring the dimensions

Lower Substrate

First the tooling axis is made for lower substrate

The class b surface is obtained by ofsetting the class A surface by 2.5mm

The class c surface is then obtained by sweeping along class A surface and joined together with class A and tthen trimmed with CLass b surface

final body is then obatined and close body is obatined in part design

the draft analysis is taken

additional flanges and dog houses created using the mastersections and required dimensions

The upper substrate

The tooling axis is then created

class B surface is created using offsetting the class A

The class c surface is then created using sweeping class A

The class A+c Surface is joined

and final body is obtained using trimming CLASS A+C WITH class B

the thickness of the surface is 2.5mm

the final close body is obtained

the extra parts are crreated using mastersections

The bottle holder

The tooling axis is then created

class B surface is created using offsetting the class A

The class c surface is then created using sweeping class A

The class A+c Surface is joined

and final body is obtained using trimming CLASS A+C WITH class B

the thickness of the surface is 2.5mm

the final close body is obtained

the extra parts are crreated using mastersections

FINAL JOIN

The assembly is done using the push pin given

It is made coincident with the dog house

The dog House is an attaching part that help to attach the plastic part with the metal which is also a secondary use and it is mainly used to avoid sink marks

Heat stakes are used to attach to plastic parts. The dimension given for heat stake is 7.5mm outside dia and 4.5mm inside dia . The draft is given for .5 degree and edge fillet is .5 mm
