Challenge

Week 10 - Challenge 3 - Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features

Objective: To create class B and C surfaces using the given styling surface and to create heat stakes and locators.

Tooling axis: The tooling axis is usually created using the bisecting method by creating two lines along the direction of opposite walls and creating a bisecting line from them. But here a single line is created along the y axis and it is sufficient to clear all the surfaces.

Class B and C surfaces: Class B surface is created by off-setting the styling surface to a distance of 2.5mm. Required patches are made since some surfaces got missed due to critical radius values. Class C surface is created and then trimmed with the B surface. Solid surface is then created with close surface option.
