Challenge

Week 10 - Challenge 3 - Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features

REPORT

open the given part file. use the intersect command on class a surface. as aresult there will be a line which cross the given part from one to another end. use the line command and select point to point draw the line by selecting two points in both side. after that select the line command and use bisecting option select both lines at the end to form a tooling axis. use the tooling axis to perform draft analysis. after that select offset command five the distance 2.5mm. that is class b surface. for class c surface select the boundary command on edges of class a draw the boundary and use the sweep command angle 1.5 length above 2.5mm and towards the surface. so that trim command can be used while joining class a, b, c . if there are any opennings use extrapolate, multi section surface command to close the gap in final body so that we can use solid surface command in part design page . boolein operation is used to add the solid surface to newly created body

engineering parts

two four way locator sketch where two lines cross each other in 90 degree are done in the place of the solid surface according to the challenge. pad command is used where limit one is 20 mm and limit two is 10mm in length . two separate body is created and trim boolian operation is used so that they are attached tomain body. before that the draft 0.5 degree is used for each side and bottom side is set as neutal and chamfer 4mm and fillet 3mm is used on ridges. heat stakes sketch is two circles one is d7 and other is d5 is drawn on every point as mentioned in the challenge and pad command is used to length limit one is 18mm and limit two is 10mm and bollian trim command is used to attach it to main body. draft analysis is performed on final body.
