Challenge

Week 10 - Challenge 1- Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss)

AIM

To create the Ribs & Screw boss door handle component through the given Class-A Surface. To begin with the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be Created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the draft analysis and ribs & Screw boss Atteched final product.

GIVEN

The CADpart and Bosses details ..

DETAILED REPORT

To open the given CLASS A SURFACE Insert a new geometrical set name it as CONSTRUCTIONS in this Geometrical set. we create TOOLING DIRECTION IN TOOLING DIRECTION Extract the base and create a point and draw al line.

Create a new geometrical set Name as CLASS B SURFACE

Offset the class A For 3mm

Open multiple extract and select the required surfaces

Create a boundary 1,2,3 Merched multi Sections Surface

After that Join and Extrapol Created.

Create geometric sets CLASS C SURFACE

CLASS C surface is to sweep the class A SURFACE

Hide the CLASS B SURFACE

UNHIDE CLASS A and CREATE BOUNDARY and use that boubdary with sweep option

After that Extrapolate the sweep and TRIM THAT EXTRAPOLATE unnecessary things we got CLASS C SURFACE

Create new geometrical set to Join CLASS A & CLASS C SURFACE

Tim that class A & CLASS C SURFACE

After that unhide Class B surface and TRIM that JOIN A&C surface

After created Ribs Design started face one side rib roots thickness and height drafts created ..

after created Screw boss created. converted to solid body and translations formed .. after all assemblied ribs and screw bosses...

and checked drafts analysisd...
