Week 10- Assembly Workbench

Assembly

1) Model Drawing 1- Quick Return Mechanism

Each model is created and saved as a part.

Open the Assembly WorkBench--> Create a product

Click Create part in the same assembly workbench and create point and name it as Skeleton point which acts as a Assembly reference point

Click Import existing component--> Select the parts to be assembled

In each of the part create geometrical set naming Reference elements. Inside that create reference axis which is required for constraining.

Give coincidence constraint to Assembly reference point and the Body1 reference point.

Provide constarints for each other parts to assemble them as mentioned in Document.

2) Model Drawing 2- CV Joint

Each model is created and saved as a part.

Open the Assembly WorkBench--> Create a product

Click Create part in the same assembly workbench and create point and name it as Skeleton point which acts as a Assembly reference point

Click Import existing component--> Select the parts to be assembled

Move each part and keep it separate, so that there are visible.

In each of the part create geometrical set called Reference elements. Create reference axis at the specified place where constraint should be given.

Make the assembly reference point and Body1 reference point coincide constraint.

Give the constraints for each of the part in order to assemble as mentioned in the document.

Use Save Management in the file menu to save assembly and its parts, so that they are placed in one location.
