Week 1 Challenge

1. First few commercial models of fuel cell were Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Tuscon FCEV in 2000s. But Prototype and Proof-of-cocepts have been made as early as 1965 by leading companies like GM. It has 50kW PEM fuel cell which used hydrigen as fuell stores at 300 bar. It can cover around 130kms. The latest vehicles by hyundai and toyota has typically 100 kW of fuel cell at a pressure of 300bar. They can cover aound 350kms in refuel and has better packaging.

2. The fuel cell cost/ kW has been declining ever since. It is around 50 dollars per kW and it is expected to come down as less as 20 dollards per kW in 2030.
