Week 1 Challenge

Truss A is identified as pratt truss and truss b is identified as howe truss. In pratt truss the compression is taken by vertical member and tension is taken by diagonal member so the section of diagonal member would be thinner. In howe truss the viceversa happens so the diagonal member are of thicker section which makes it uneconomical. The vertical member can efficiently takes the gravity load which is the pushing effects this load transfer is more efficiently done in pratt truss rather than howe truss. So truss A is efficient.
