Load on interior beam = 16x10 =160kN/m²

1. b) Exterior beam, area =1.2X8 =9.6m² (if consider cantilever 0.2m length)

Load = 9.6x10 =96KN/m²

1. c) 16KN point load at each 2m length

d) 8KN point load at each 2m length

L0 =2000m

ΔT= 40-(-20)° C = 60°C

Co efficient of thermal expansion = 12x10−6

ΔL= 12x(10−6) x2000x60 = 1.44m

L = ΔL+ L0 =2001.44m
